This 12-amp, lightweight Eureka 4750A Maxima Upright Vacuum Cleaner provides constant cleaning power with the new no touch 3-quart dust bag system, just drop the bag in and dump it out with no mess. It also has an extra wide integrated hose for no clog, above the floor cleaning and a micro-filtration system designed to reduce allergens and pet dander. This 4750A Maxima also comes equipped with automatic height adjuster that makes it easy to clean from carpets to bare floors.

Six months ago I purchased a competitors lightweight bagless vacuum. A really terrible idea as the dust cup had to be emptied outdoors. In two uses the HEPA filter plugged up solid and had to be replaced and the whole contraption had to be washed constantly.I did a lot of research and chose this model with a bag and I am happy I did. This is a preliminary review as I have had it only a week and used it twice in my 525 square apartment with excellent results on both carpet and hard surfaces.It is a bit daunting when you open the box as there are all sorts of parts. However the parts list is excellent and the directions for assembly are concise and thorough. It helps that the parts can only be installed one way. It took me less than 15 minutes to have it up and running. It helped that the dust bag was installed and the whole collection unit snapped into place. Dust bag removal requires a few steps but is simple and easy to accomplish.This appears to be an older design and has been on the market under a variety of names. It is simple and well designed. The assembled unit is sturdy and works very well. It is very lightweight and easy to maneuver. It has plenty of power and suction even though it is noisier than most. The feature I like best is that the brush roll lifts when the handle is upright. It only has two tools, a combination hose extender/crevice tool and a small triangular brush. Other tools are available online.As with most vacuums it will not go more than a few inches under low furniture. It does not have a rubber bumper but this is easily remedied by installing one yourself using a self adhesive product from a hardware store. I feel the power switch could be in a more open location as it is hidden by the hose and it is the only part of the vacuum unit that feels a little flimsy.Given the low price it is a real bargain and should give good service for a long time with recommended maintenance.As an update, after several months frequent use I have experienced no problems and any doubts I may have had are gone. I would recommend the Filtrete bags as it does move a large volume of potentially dusty air.

it has the same number, but it is different. the one i wanted said "eureka MAXIMA" on it. the cord is longer and it has more suction and an automatic carpet adjuster. it also works on hard floors. this one does not. the one that came in the mail said "lightspeed" on it. It's yellow and uses the same bag, but is NOT what i ordered. It is inferior. I took a long time placing that order to make sure i got what i wanted. It is NOT
